no matter how damaging. Angie seeks revenge for her little sister’s death,
going after politicians, government officials, and their associates.
Trevor thinks that everything he does, including killing journalists and bloggers, is righteous.
After Emily is killed, he eventually feels everything has gone wrong,
but within a week,
the HUMINT and SIGINT they collect show him that the people supporting Emily’s
activism are actually very dangerous.
This story reflects the moods and tensions in Kenya.
Emily is outside the government; she believes what she wants to believe.
Angie is also outside the government, guided by her own convictions.
Trevor and Tiffany are in government;
they operate within the mindset common among those close to power.
When these two worlds collide, blood and death follow,
because no one is willing to understand the other,
and the other side is not sober enough to listen.
This is basically the mood of the country right now — divided,
tense, and caught in cycles of conviction and violence.
